Top 5 Resorts For Babies

Travelling with baby can be exciting… and exhausting. While your ideal vacation might include spending quality time with your significant other or relaxing on the beach with a good book, these little things can be pretty darn difficult when you have an infant in tow.

Luckily, there are many resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico that are more than happy to make these fantasies a reality, offering such wonderful services as personal nannies, nanny services or childcare programs specifically geared for babies. Many resorts also offer special amenities for infants, such as baby food and even Diaper Genies. Read on to see some of our favourite resorts for your next baby-friendly vacation.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Beaches Turks & Caicos appears on this list. Easily one of the most popular and best family resorts out there, it offers fun in the sun for one and all. Kids can easily spend an entire visit at the water park, which now touts the SkySlide, as well as the hotel’s six swimming pools. There’s also a kids’ club, a teen nightclub, a whopping 19 restaurants, a scuba program, and a wide variety of spacious accommodations, including Family Suites and Seaside Villas. We could keep going!

The Azul Beach is another family favourite. One of the many Karisma Hotels and Resorts properties found along the Riviera Maya’s pristine white sand shores, Azul Beach is the smallest and quietest of the bunch. While it may feel like an oversized spa, it is about as family-friendly, and infant friendly, as you can get. In 2015, the hotel launched its Nickelodeon Experience, which added special events, programming and themed fun for kids all centered around Nickelodeon’s most popular characters. (Think Dora, Spongebob, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!) The resort also caters to all ages, with special in-room baby gear available for its youngest guests.

A bona fide family resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, the Franklyn D. Resort & Spa features a playground, giant waterslide, swimming pool, kids’ club, teens’ program, kids’ buffet, and a beachfront location, to boot. What’s more, its standard guestrooms sleep up to five guests (two adults and three children under age 16). What it is best known for is its nanny services, which are complimentary to all guests and especially welcomed by parents, who like to dine at The Pier Restaurant, an adults-only eatery with delicious fare.

Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana may not be the largest of the three Dreams properties located on the island, but it is one of the favourites for families. There is plenty for kids here, including an Explorer’s Club for kids, a Core Zone space for teens, and even a space for infants and toddlers. Of course, there is water fun, as well, especially after the resort invested millions to renovate its pools, which include waterfalls and lush landscaping.

With nearly 50 of the resort’s 287 rooms dedicated as Family Suites, the Beach Palace Cancun is a great choice for families travelling to Mexico. What’s more, 20 of those suites come with three hours of nanny service! The Beach Palace also features a kids’ club, complimentary shuttle service to the nearby water park, a teen disco, video game tournaments and special kids’ menus, not to mention the wide expanse of beach and the beautiful pool.
